Voyageurs Host ACAC Regional # 2

Lac la Biche - This past weekend the Voyageurs Golf team hosted the 2nd of the ACAC Golf Regionals at the Lac la Biche Golf Club. Things didn't go as planned on Friday for the teams practice rounds as smoke and heavy rain hampered the teams from completing rounds.

Saturday was a beautiful plus 18 sunny day with no wind and the golfers took full advantage of it. Voyageurs Ayden Duniece shot a 74 (+ 6) which had him tied for 6th, Brenan Rosychuk shot a 78 (+ 10) and was in a 7 player tie. Carter Yarish (picture shown) shot an 88.

Sunday the weather continued to cooperate and the Voyageurs athletes continuesd their strong play. Ayden Duniece shot a 76 and finished tied for 7th with a two day total of 150. Brenan Rosychuk shot an 80 on Sunday and finished his 2 rounds at 158 which had him tied for 18th spot. The Voyageurs will now get a strong week of practice in as they depart on Saturday to compete in the ACAC Golf Championship from September 22nd to 24th at Alberta Springs in Red Deer.
