Voyageurs take on Lakeland

Lac la Biche - Voyageurs and lakeland Rustlers battle the smoke on a rare Thursday night battle of ACAC Women's Soccer. Even though the Rustlers defeated the Voyageurs 9-0 huge improvements were seen. After the game We caught up to Voyageurs Head Coach macky Singh for a few words.

Q. Fair to say the women improved over the first game and played better defence?

"Yeah, I mean that's what we've been working on in terms of structure and shape and organization kind of thing. I think they're getting a lot more comfortable and getting a better understanding so that's what we'll be continuing to work on but that was something that we could see a lot of improvement on for sure."

Q, Did the players feel that too, that they're making progress?

"Yeah, I think overall they could see their improvement, development. I think that's a big thing. Our goal this year is not about results; it's about performance and teaching a lot of the players how to play the game as well kind of thing. I think that's slowly coming to fruition. It'll take time for us to get them to be more comfortable with the game for sure."
